The tunable distributed feedback (DFB) laser array (TLA) is one of the promising candidates as a key element for wavelength switching at a future optical fiber communication. One of the requirements for the TLA is high-speed wavelength switching. In this presentation, we propose a method for high-speed switching based on an iterative learning control (ILC) to obtain a pre-distortion laser drive voltage. In an experiment, we achieved a 150-GHz-wide wavelength switching with a switching time of less than 2 milliseconds, which is much smaller than that of 5 milliseconds by a conventional technology.
