In this study, CO2 was adopted as the medium of the supercritical fluid from the viewpoints of environmental affinity and electrical properties (dielectric strength and insulation recovery performance) in the gaseous state. To investigate the changes in luminescence with each passage of discharge plasma time generated in supercritical CO2, observations were made by photographing with a high-speed ICCD camera. During the observation period, the luminescence intensity and spreading by the plasma changed significantly over time. In addition, shockwave emission was confirmed by discharge in the supercritical fluid CO2.
