The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of various carbon materials added to the negative electrode.One of the causes of deterioration in lead-acid batteries is a phenomenon called sulfation. Carbon is believed to have the effect of suppressing this phenomenon by adding it to the negative electrode active material. This is due to the effect of promoting electrochemical reactions by the addition of carbon. A simulated lead-acid battery was prepared for testing with carbon added. The capacity, active material utilization, and pore volume were compared and evaluated using them.
