This study proposes a new planar magic-T using a coplanar stripline (CPS), microstrip lines, and radial stubs. The CPS suppresses the backside radiation, which is caused by the slot line used in conventional planar magic-Ts. While the radial stubs suppress the common mode propagating between the CPS and common ground. The proposed magic-T is designed, and the simulation results show that the insertion loss of anti-phase division is improved by 1.1 dB. Furthermore, the common mode suppression is around 10 dB. These results confirm the feasibility of the proposed magic-T concept.
