Conventional UTC-PD has some limitations on how far it can be improved, giving rise to vacuum photodiodes research, that can bypass the photodiode’s bottleneck. Since vacuum photodiodes have larger bandgap than InGaAs in UTC-PD, higher light energy than red is needed, corresponding to a minimum of 427 nm wavelength. This paper aims to optimize and control the blue light diodes designed for the vacuum photodiodes. Coupling is performed on the two blue light diode and results on both coupled power and photocurrent from the photodiodes will be reported.
