Abstract
When fabric clothing is worn, various deformations are made in the material.
In order to study the deformations, slacks, skirt and jacket were made from wool plain fabric for the standard body.
Deformations induced by wearing were measured photographically. Also biaxial and uniaxial tensile properties and shear deformation properties of the sample material were measured by the biaxial tensile tester. Thus the approximate amounts of fundamental deformations such as tensile deformation, shearing and bending were obtained.
