Abstract
It is well known fact to put small sized shoes get the foot a trouble. In order to find the cause of the pressure to the shod foot, questionnaire enquete and some experiments were practiced. The chief results were as follows.
(1) The surface area of shoes and the foot in were obtained by “replica method”. The ratio of two surface aseas relates closely to the hight of heel of shoes.
(2) The space between foot and shoes were measured by “sodium alginate method” and “fuse method”. The spaces at the cross-section No. 6 and No. 7 by “fuse method” were the narrowest. The shoes widths of these parts were narrower than the foot's.
(3) The location of the pressive parts of shod foot were found by “deform painting method”. The pressure of lady's shoes recognized within from No. 4 to No. 7 cutted lengthways.
