Five cases of juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma were treated in our clinic between 1972 and 1978. In accordance with the recent general tendency, surgical removal of the tumor was performed in our five cases. In two cases treated with cryosurgery, there were no recurrences of the tumors. On the other hand, in two of the remaining three cases recurrence was observed. Cryosurgery seems to have three advantages ; a reduction of blood loss, a good control for the total removal of the tumor, and a possible eradication of a recidual tumor during surgery.
