Zeolite-containing mesoporous silica, silica-alumina and silica-titania (two-layered catalysts) were prepared using the sol-gel method and those were combined with large mesoporous silica obtained by the gel skeletal reinforcement to prepare three-layered hierarchical catalysts. Three-layered catalysts, which include only 25wt% zeolite, exhibited higher activity than zeolite single and two-layered catalysts, which include 50wt% zeolite, when compared by weight of zeolite. Three-layered and two-layered catalysts showed the higher olefin/paraffin (O/P), branched-/straight-chained (iso-/n-) ratios and multi-branched/single-brached (m-/s-) ratios than zeolite single, which resulted in the higher RON values in gasoline fraction of products.
