In this study, the author's aim was to examine the differences of lawn maintenance in Toyama Prefectural Public parks during two different times between the two parks, one run by an entity settled by the prefecture and the other one which used to be run by the prefecture and is now run by a private entity after the introduction of a designated administrator system. Researched items are "full administrative expenses of each park", "administrative expenses only on lawn", " maintenance policy on lawn", "administrative work description", "numbers of enforcements on each construction work", and so on. The author settled and used "the maintenance assessment value" as a new index number to evaluate each construction work which converts to the amount of work energy which varies from each workload, materials and maintenance-fees into one exponent. As a result, both parks show an increase of " maintenance assessment value" which indirectly evaluates the state of maintenance, and the ratio of value for private entity with a slight excess to the one of prefectural entity.
