The purpose of this study is to assess how to protect the rights and benefits of medical consumers by examining how medical clerical workers who are consumer aware consider the interests of medical consumers. The nature of the work medical clerical workers perform is becoming increasingly diverse, including dealing with patients and reception work, communicating with medical professionals, as well as carrying out a range of tasks for doctors. Accordingly, the role of medical clerical workers in medical institutions is becoming increasingly important. In their analysis of this issue the researchers referred to the NACS Consumer Management System criterion designed from the perspective of consumers in the business domain. The researchers finding show that in order to provide a suitable level of service medical clerical workers must increase their understanding of consumer awareness and this awareness must inform their actions in the workplace. In order for medical clerical workers to provide a service that protects the rights and interests of the medical consumer adherence to the following guidelines are considered essential: 1) following corporate law and ethics 2) respecting the sovereignty of the medical consumer 3) maintaining patient satisfaction 4) correct disclosure of medical information 5) maintaining good levels of communication 6) respecting the environment.
