In recent years, several researchers have used the Bayesian approach to study cognitive and behavioral therapies. Therefore, clinical researchers and practitioners need to understand these methods to improve the quality of research and interventions. This study aims to facilitate beginners’ understanding of the Bayesian approach. First, we introduce the Bayesian approach and compare it with traditional methods. Second, using an actual study, we explain how this method is used to investigate the effects of clinical interventions. Lastly, we discuss future implications of this approach in researching cognitive and behavioral therapies.
