Isolation of Trichophyton equinum and Microsporum canis From Equine Dermatophytosis

From 1972 to 1973, there have been observed an enzootic of dermatophytosis due to Trichophyton equinum among race horses in Japan. Two strains of Microsporum canis were also isolated together with T. equinum from the same clinical materials.
