Team-based learning (TBL) is a promising active learning method in health professions education that is suitable for problem-solving by integrating basic and clinical knowledge, uses skills in collaboration for future medical teamwork, and holds students accountable for their learning. When conducting readiness assurance tests (RATs) and applied exercises online for TBL, it is possible to show precise imaging of the related cases, which is essential in health professions education. Performance scoring and feedback are provided immediately and can improve student learning outcomes significantly. There are some difficulties, however, in protecting patient personal information with such case images in computer-based testing while using student-owned laptops. An ICT environment was developed to solve this problem by providing tablets that permit the classes to access these materials securely. The outline of this system, with its technical and operational issues, are described herein.
