This report gathered up the contents of the symposium to “Reconsideration of the university-led pharmaceutical education” in symposium 13 of the 4th Japan Society for Pharmaceutical Education (Osaka). First, I confirmed a different purpose between the 6-years system education and the 4-years system education in Japanese university, and considered the positioning of the university-led clinical education in Japanese faculty of pharmaceutical sciences. Second, I explained the needs of cooperation between many lectures of the specialized field to reconstitute the structural system which is connected in a clinical skill, ability for solution to the problem depending on grade progress. Moreover, I confirmed that the education until 4th grade was placed as “a clinical propaedeutic” by the new curriculum in pharmaceutical education. Third, I performed three proposals that the university-led construction of the substantial clinical education that the faculty members of university must think seriously in future.
