Abstract

For university faculty members, research and educational activities are closely related and a balance between the two is required. In addition, young faculty members are often also experiencing life events such as marriage, pregnancy, and childcare, and thus there is a need to also achieve a balance between work and personal life events. However, pharmacy faculty members have a variety of responsibilities, and the demands on their research and educational activities increases yearly. Young faculty members who are still in the development process must actively improve their research and educational abilities. The aim of this symposium is to share the current status of the education and research activities of young members in the faculty of pharmacy. This is accomplished by evaluating each young faculty members progress and specific efforts in their education and research activities.
