Estimation of the normalized location difference θ=(θx-θv)/σ, σ>0 of two normal populations N(θx, σ2) and N(θv, σ2)based on ranked data is studied. Pairs of abservations (Xi, Yi), (i=1, 2, …, n) are drawn from these populations and are replaced by ranked data (r(Xi), r(Yi)) (in our case 0-1 data) at each observation. Our statistic applied in this paper is based on these ranked data and several properties of this statistic are investigated.
