The temporal dominance of sensations (TDS) method is a popular sensory evaluation approach to measure changes in multiple types of sensory responses over time. This method is aimed at obtaining the average response among tens of panels and trials. Currently, no general method is established to analyze individual differences and outliers of TDS tasks or panels. We defined several indices to evaluate the time-series similarity between individual trials of TDS tasks. We applied these indices to a sample set of TDS tasks for strawberries and demonstrated an outlier analysis. The proposed indices can be used for various applications, including outlier determination and cluster analysis.
