In this study, we considered Japanese language materials that are ideal for building community relationships between overseas students and residents. The language materials should not impose knowledge unilaterally but foster mutual change. This paper summarizes the three concepts of the language materials gleaned through questionnaires and interview surveys and reflections on the practice: (1) creating Japanese language learning for oneself（"Jibun-goto"）, (2) creating relationships of teaching and helping each other, and (3) creating relationships of recognizing each other as individuals. This kind of teaching material will make it possible to build a community based on language learning.
