It has been important to build the regional redevelopment planning in water reservoir area caused by dam construction. In this paper the effects arising from the promoting measures were investigated by means of a questionnaire for the municipalities where the reservoirs exist. Secondly the water reservoir areas were classfied into six groups based on the regional characteristics e.g. the population size of municipality, the key industries and the number of submerged households. After that, the factors of regional promotion were synthesized three principal components and the socio-economic influences in each region was examined in response to the process of projects.
