FOR FORMING AN AMENITY OF URBAN ENVIORMENT, THIS STUDY EXPLORES THE RELATION BETWEEN STREET FURNITURE AND HUMAN BEHAVIOR BY COMPARING A SELECTING BEHAVIOR AND A SEATING BEHAVIOR IN THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR SPACE. WE CHOOSE SIX URBAN PLAZA AS OBJECT AREAS THAT CONSIST OF THREE ATRIUMS AND THREE OUTSIDE PLAZAS. AND WE TAKE THE OBSERVATIONAL SURVEY AND THE TRACKING SURVEY WITH VIDEO CAMERA.AS A RESULT, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE BENCH IS MOSTLY USED BY USERS IN BOTH SPACES. ON THE SELECTING PROCESS, IT IS OBVIOUS NOT ONLY THAT THE DEVICES, ESPECIALLY THE BENCHES, ARE WATCHED CLOSELY IN BOTH SPACES BUT ALSO THAT THE SPACE IS WATCHED CLOSELY IN THE INTERIOR. ON THE SEATING CONDITION, THE MAIN SIGHT OBJECT IS THE DEVICES OF MODIFICATION TO LANDSCAPE IN EXTERIOR SPACE. HOWEVER, THE MAIN SIGHT OBJECT IS THE SPACE WITH WIDE OUTLOOK IN INTERIOR SPACE.
