In this second report, various truss girders of the British school of design constructed in Meiji era (1868-1912) other than 200ft double Warren trusses are described.
Iron and steel truss girders are classified into 13 types by their skeleton diagrams. Nine of those are pin-connected types and the rest are riveted ones. Only a few girders are still in service their original sites though most girders have already been removed. In April 1986, 39 girders (excluding 200ft double Warren trusses) are still in service.
