By taking into account a band parameter γ3 which characterizes the trigonal warping of the bands, the electric resistivity and Hall coefficient in graphite are calculated. Electron-phonon coupling constants determined so as to fit the observed resistivity well are D1=27.9 eV and D2\doteqdot0, where D1 and D2 indicate the coupling constants related to the in-plane lattice vibration and out-of-plane mode, respectively. At room temperature effect of γ3 on the calculated Hall coefficient is very small, while at low temperatures (25–50°K) it affects considerably. Calculated values at low temperatures are improved to a certain extent in consideration of γ3, but they have opposite sign to the observed coefficients. This discrepancy is removed by introduction of carrier-carrier scattering effect.
