An expression of the thermal expansion for the quasi-one-dimensional Ising model has been derived and applied to the experimental result of CsH₂PO₄ reported in the preceding paper. It is found that the anomalous spontaneous strain in CsH₂PO₄ is explained satisfactorily by the excess term in the thermal strain caused by the intrachain interaction.
