In this paper, author investigated the grinding action, the impact action and the motion of rice grain in the rice pearling mill with grinding system.
1. The equation to indicate the rice pearling resistance was introduced. (Eq. (1)-(8))
2. The ratio of the heat capacity conducted to the rice grain and the grind stone was calculated.
3. Using the Hertzs impact theory, on the assumption that the rice grain is a elastic ellipsoid, author calculated the impact velocity to fit for the rice pearling. But, this value is very small, so it is doubtful whether rice gran is a elastic body in the dynamic case.
4. As two dimensional motion, the flow of rice grain in the vertical rice pearling mill with grinding system was calculated. (Eq. 14, 15.)
5. Author made a vertical rice pearling mill grinding system for experiment. On some factor to influence upon the rice pearling resistance, experiment was done with this mill.
