抄録

1. In the present -investigation, 4 species of Secale viz., cereale, Vavilovii, africanum and montanum were employed as material. The hybridization among these species was carried out in possible combinations (Table 1). And in this report the results of hybridization and the external characters of the hybrids were described. 2. The percentage of the F₁ individuals raised in these combinations to all the pollinated flowers was found to be 4 to 73 % (Table 1). 3. It may be said from the result of hybridization that between cereale and Vavilovii and also between mantalcum and africaleum close kinship is recognized, while members of cereale- Vavilovii group are less akin to those of montanum-africanum group. 4. By comparing F₁ plant with its parents, some characters are superior to while other characters, are inferior to those of the parents.
