As needs for street design improvement have become diversified, it increasingly important to clarify the relationship between the objective indicators of street design and the subjective evaluations. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the objective indicators, measured by image recognition, and the subjective evaluations. First, the indicators of image recognition are measured, using the image data of various streets, to be classified into the street scenes with cluster analysis. Then, we analyze the relationship of the objective indicators with the subjective evaluations with multiple regression analysis. As a result, the streets were classified into street scenes by the amount of people and car, and the objective indicators from image recognition, including the scene indicators, accounted for the quantitative and qualitative subjective evaluations.
