This paper describes the action to facilitate self-learning of the students in a fundamental mathematic class and considers its effectiveness. Furthermore, it is proposed an active teaching-and-learning environmental model obtained by being visualized through the class practice for making the passive learning-attitude of the students active. The proposed model illustrates the process to lead the students to learn on their own. Factors that inhibit self-learning at home are listed, here. It is emphatically discussed that the improvement of fundamental literacies for working persons is important for reducing those disincentives and for acquiring the mathematical knowledge.
