In this paper, we examined how the students diversity influences the outcomes of the OJE group activity. The OJE is a practical method which has been introduced as leadership training in the Department of Management of Industry and Technology, Graduate School of Engineering in Osaka University. The graduate students participate in the group activity in which they have a discussion to reach final outcomes with diversity members. This paper focuses on the two types of diversity of each group, Surface-and Deep-Level Diversity. This study revealed that both level diversity influences the outcomes, only when the members communicate well with each other. This result indicates that further consideration is needed to introduce the diversity management as an educational method.
