The paper tower was used to conduct a leadership development workshop. The workshop was conducted with participants who belonged to the engineering faculty and those who belonged to the liberal arts faculty. The results showed that the liberal arts students perceived the workshops more positively than the engineering students. However, a comparison of the Leadership Behavior Scale showed that the factors of “taking initiative,” “accepting challenges,” and “supporting result-oriented activities” tended to increase from pre- to post-workshop for participants in engineering programs than for those in liberal arts programs. This suggests that the workshop developed in this study can be expected to be more effective in capturing leadership behaviors among engineering students than liberal arts students.
