In order to study the change of blood distribution of brain, renal and retina at the hemorrhagic shock state, authers experimented on the dogs using radioactive isotope (131I-MAA), the plate type thermocouple, and the eyeground camera.
Following results were obtained;
1) The radioactivity of the whole brain was 4.65% injected total radioactivity in control, but decreased to 0.24% immediately after hemorrhage, and increased to 12.8% after 60 minutes.
2) The ratio of cortex to medulla in radioactivity per tissue in gram of the brain was 61.2: 38.8 in control, 56.9: 43.1 in immediately after hemorrhage, 76.6: 23.4 after 60 minutes, respectively.
3) Under the hypocarbia, the cerebral blood flow did not changed markedly. However, under the encarbia it fell down quickly immediately after hemorrhage and recovered to control value after 60 minutes.
4) The renal blood flow in hemorrhagic shock decreased markedly or did not.
5) Blood vessels, especialy artery of the retina became narrow and constricted immediately after hemorrhage at eucarbic condition.
