Fermentation biowastes are abundant and cheap sources that can be used for
manufacture of commercially available biosorbent. A fiber form of PEI-modified
biosorbent originated from fermentation biowaste containing C. glutamicum could be satisfactorily used
to recover precious metal such as gold. A continuous process having good
performance in recovering Au(I) was also developed for practical application of
the biosorbent.
