The mechanically separate the municipal solid waste (MSW) is widely used in order to utilize the recyclable waste and to reduce the amount of waste to landfill. However, the mechanical separation for MSW in Asian countries has few successful due to a large amount of organic composition which could be promote the adhesiveness. Since, the Rheological property is one of the parameters to clarify the adhesiveness and moisture content is the main influence factor. Therefore, this study aims to measure the rheological properties of organic waste under different MC conditions in order to clarify the adhesive behavior of the organic waste. The results indicate that the storage modulus (E') from organic wastes were in range 0.22-0.50 MPa for solid liked material and 0.9-93x103 MPa for paste liked material. The rheological properties (especially tan δ) has a possibility to clarify the adhesive behavior. A very small E' leads to the deformation of organic waste when interacted with a large E’ material such as steel wall of trommel, then increase the possibility of the adhesiveness. The rheological properties are depending on the moisture content, it confirms the effect of moisture on the appearance of the adhesiveness on the organic waste.
