This study aims at a system to measure 6 force components acting between a tire and the road surface by measuring strains in the wheel of the tire module. The measurement method was developed based upon the least square method. Dynamic test were carried out, showing effectiveness of the method. It is expected that the real time measurement of the 6 force components will greatly improve performance and reliability of the vehicle dynamics control systems.
