A new type of dynamic vibration absorber using semicircular arc beams has been developed. The purpose of this study is the examination for responses of the high rise reinforced concrete stack with the absorber. The analytical parameters of the absorber for the stack are mass ratio and frequency ratio of the absorber to the stack, and damping ratio of the absorber. The effect of response reduction is examined by frequency response, earthquake response, and wind response analyses.
