Soft robots using biodegradable materials have being widely studied as a solution to reduce their environmental impacts. In this study, we developed a biodegradable soft robotics sensor and actuator using a gelatin-based material and a natural rubber as electrode and dielectric, respectively. The experimental results obtained from characterization of the devices show that they are fully functional to given inputs, illustrating successful implementation of the proposed concept.
