抄録

Today, situational awareness and judgment become more important than knowledge and experience. The world is not becoming flat, but it is diversifying more and more with more frequent changes. Therefore, it becomes increasingly important for Japanese engineering students to grow situational awareness and increase their judgment capabilities. If they could share their local problems with students from abroad, they could develop better products that are really needed locally. This is true globalization of Japanese engineering education. Thus, Japanese engineering education should move more to listen to the voices of students from abroad to understand true needs of their countries than just teaching them Japanese way of engineering.
