The composition of biomass gas generated by gasifying biomass resources fluctuates with gasifying method and operational condition of gasifying plant. The main combustible component of the biomass gas is CH_4, H_2 and CO_2 and the main noncombustible component is N_2 and CO_2. The biomass gas is low calorific fuel, because the ratio of noncombustible components in fuel is high. So, it is expected that the stability of combustion and ignition becomes worse. That is why, in order to investigate the difference of combustion characteristics by the composition of biomass gas, the experiment investigations were carried out by using simulated biomass gases, whose composition of H_2 and CO varies. As the increase of H_2/CO_2, the combustion stability increased and indicated thermal efficiency also rises due to shortage of combustion duration.
