This paper reports a preliminary numerical result of shock wave interaction phenomena with the brain model. Micro-explosive induced shock wave was propagated and interacted with the brain model made of simulated biomedical materials (acrylic and gelatin solution). The process of shock wave interaction with the brain model was simulated by using hydrocode ANSYS AUTODYN. The shock wave was transmitted into the brain model and propagated at the gelatin solution, reflected at the other side of inner acrylic sphere. The numerical results were compered with the experimental results of shock wave propagation shadowgraph images and pressure history in the brain model.
