The deterioration behavior of biodegradable plastic PCL was investigated in carbon dioxide atmosphere at various pressures. Foaming phenomenon at the surface of PCL Specimen was observed when the PCL was taken out from carbon dioxide atmosphere, and this phenomenon became remarkable in the case of supercritical atmosphere. Both apparent density and hardness of the specimens decreased with increasing pressure of carbon dioxide atmosphere.
