Abstract
Recently, full automatic cell picking systems were developed because of increased attention of single-cell analysis. But, success rate of single-cell picking by glass capillary is not perfect and it's not enough to apply to rare cells. So we proposed integrated micropipette. Integrated micropipette consists of glass capillary, sensor for passage detection of cell, lock-in-amplifier circuit and holder. First micropipette sucks a cell from point of capillary. Second, the cell is detected by sensor, and stopped by pump control. Third, pipette move to well and eject cell to micro well. In this work, we succeeded in fabricating glass capillary that have sensor for passage detection of cell from two glass substrate. And then we demonstrated cell picking experiment. In experiment, we succeeded in sucking and detecting cell. These results show that sensor integrated micropipette could be potentially useful for high precision cell picking that leads to efficient and high accuracy single-cell analysis.
