This study have developed a virtual training system for maxillofacial palpation. where a trainee can touch the face of a virtual patient model by using a pen-stylus of PHANToM Omni. This paper aims to make a model which has a similar structure of a diseased part due to lymph-node cancer in order to measure the elastic information of a patient and embed it in the dynamic model of the virtual patient model. And the haptic device that enables to present both the shape and the elasticity of a diseased part has been newly developed in this paper. The brief reports of the progresses of these improvements are described.
