In this study, we develop an automatic traveling system for an electric wheelchair with a status confirmation and obstacle avoidance function for realization of safe electric wheelchair running of the physically disabled persons in indoor. In this paper, we propose the automatic traveling system for an electric wheelchair and evaluate about accuracy of the distance information to be obtained at a depth sensor.
