DXAFS実験用試料交換ロボットの開発

Materials Chemistry Group of Institute of Materials Structure Science, KEK, researches to clarify irreversible reaction processes such as structural change of materials induced by laser shock and temperature. To observe these processes in real time, we have developed an experimental system using DXAFS and a laser. We have used a simple sample exchanger that can load about 50 samples. For more efficient experiments, a new sample exchange robot that could load about 3,000 samples under oxygen-free atmosphere was developed with the cooperation of Mechanical Engineering Center, KEK. We installed the new robot at AR-NW2A beamline of the synchrotron PF-AR in November, 2017 and could confirm effectiveness of the new robot in the DXAFS experiments.
