In this study, we propose an open source hardware development method to efficiently develop hardware required in complex systems. The proposed method based on systems engineering with the open source concept in order to develop hardware efficiently in small teams such as university laboratories. Using the proposed method, the working components of a small mobile robot were developed and the usefulness of the developed method was examined through RoboCup robot competition .
