In this report, we propose a sensor arm to be worn on the user’s forearm, which is useful for performing motor function recovery training after stroke at home as a rehabilitation of the upper limbs. Acute rehabilitation and recovery rehabilitation after stroke are mainly performed at the hospital, but life (maintenance) rehabilitation after discharge from the hospital is mainly performed at home without a physiotherapist (PT). The proposed sensor arm has a function to detect changes in the posture of the attached arm and the force applied to the forearm. This sensor arm emphasizes securing the amount of rehabilitation and has the potential to be applied to rehabilitation robots.
