Current virtual reality systems require users to physically move their bodies in order to control avatars, which poses problems in terms of safety and economy. To solve this problem, several interfaces have been proposed to control the avatar while the user’s body is fixed, but improvements are needed in terms of discomfort and difficulty in attaching and detaching the device. Therefore, we propose a simple input device using a 3-axis gimbal and load cells, and multiple wearable vibrators to allow 3D control of the avatar’s arm with a minimum of physical movement. However, at this point, only the input device has been verified, and further development and evaluation of the entire system, including vibration stimulation, are needed.
