From 1928 to 1930,Hannes Meyer directed the Bauhaus as successor to W.Gropius and reorganized its educational systems. His main concern was to organize an architectual course based on science and to develop the workshops into production and reseach units for meeting the needs of the people on the idea of co-operative activities. Through his reorganization the Bauhaus workshops including architecture had to be developed as the working groups, and for the ultimate aim of the Bauhaus the practical 'Werk'(work) had to take the place of 'Bau'(architecture). However, Meyer's dismissal hindered the launching of reform plans.
