Education Reform in Thailand began after the declaration of section 43 and section 81 of the constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 1997,which stipulates that all individuals shall have equal rights to receive education provided by the state for the duration of at least 12 years and the state must provide education to attain knowledge and morality, issuing law relating to national education. This led to the drafting of the National Education Act, 1999,resulting in a large-scale national education reform. In this paper, we would like to discuss main points of the reform special reference to the science education.
