STEM the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education fields has been the priority focus of policy agenda in many countries around the world. As the country is shifting her economic development trend in this regional and global industry 4.0 era, it was emphasized that Cambodia is in great demand of graduates in STEM fields. However, currently the country is facing some challenges in enhancing the students’ uptake into these fields. This paper, thus, presents the current status of STEM, discusses key issues the country is facing, and draws some implications of initiatives from the other nations to enhance students participation in STEM.
